Let’s talk about the two main obstacles of writing Black or queer characters, about the WHY and HOW you should write them, and how to deal with mistakes.
When I did my research for this article, I was surprised to find that archetypes as defined by the psychologist Carl Jung were closer to stereotypes than I thought. Still, we can create a difference between archetypes and stereotypes ourselves.
